Description

This F. Lorée wood oboe is in excellent condition and is a beautiful Parisian made instrument. There is little to no player wear on the keys. There is evidence of two grain cracks going about halfway up the bell that have been repaired. It has just come back from the shop where it was adjusted so it plays great. The serial number looks to be “20” although with this brand name it is uncertain if that is actually the serial number or a model number. The engraving on the bell and at the top of both body joints reads “F. Lorée Paris”. This oboe has the split D key, the F resonance key and it does have the left-hand F key. Please see the photos for exact key work.  It comes in a new ProTec replacement case.  No accessories are included.  The intonation is good throughout the horn and it plays easily up and down the register. F. Lorée oboes have been a favorite of American professional oboe players for decades. This instrument has the iconic Lorée sound that makes it such a dominant name brand among oboe aficionados.
