Description

This C.G. Conn Connstellation Late Model 38B Nickel Silver Trumpet is in very good condition with 80-85% of the original nickel-silver plating. There is some light speckle wear across the horn; the area of heaviest plating wear is on the bow. (Please see photos for more details.) It has lacquer accents on the valve casing and tuning slides. This trumpet also has a third tuning slide adjustment rod and stop and a first valve thumb trigger.  This horn has just come back from the shop where it was cleaned, adjusted and a few small dents were taken out of the bow and bell. The serial number makes it a vintage 1968 horn. The engraving on the side of the bell is crisp and reads “C.G. Conn -Ltd. Connstellation Elkhart-U.S.A.” and “B” on the mouthpiece receiver. The horn comes in the original Conn case with the key in good condition and it has some wear on the corners.  No mouthpiece is included. This trumpet has a stellar sound with great overtones and good intonation.  The bigger bell gives it a beautiful broad tone and sounds nice and open from top to bottom.  Once you play this horn you will understand why the Connstellation horns are some of Conn’s greatest horns!
