This Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction Alto Saxophone 1950’s Serial #5949 is in good used condition with around 40-50% of the original lacquer and the signature decorative pearl buttons on the key guards. The “Super Dynaction” is one of Buffet’s most famous and top professional saxophones. This is also of the few saxophones that some people believe can compete with a Selmer Mark VI. This particular Buffet Super Dynaction saxophone has just come from the shop where it was cleaned, adjusted and a small dent was taken out of the bow so it plays wonderfully. The pads are a mix of old and new, but all are in good condition. This saxophone also features the articulated low F# key, along with the high F key and Buffet’s signature “BC” bell brace. There is some light player wear to the touch spots and medium to heavy speckle wear across the saxophone. There are no dents or evidence of any major repairs with this saxophone. Please see the photos for more details. The serial number is 5949 making this a 1958-1959 vintage alto saxophone. Along the back of the body is engraved “Super Dynaction.” The engraving on the bell is still quite visible despite the lacquer wear and runs down the entirety of the bell and onto the front of the bow with the words “Buffet Crampon Paris France” displayed prominently. This alto saxophone comes with the original neck that has no evidence of a pull down. It also comes with a replacement case that’s in very good condition. A mouthpiece is not included. This alto saxophone has a great, warm sound and plays easily up and down the register.
