This silver Bach Stradivarius Model 37 trumpet with a ML bore (.459) is in excellent condition with 95% or more of the original silver plating. There are a few small spots of grip wear on the valve casing and on the slides near the valve casings. The horn has just come back from the shop where it was cleaned, adjusted and plays beautifully. There is evidence that a few dents were taken out of the bow and there is a couple of small dent on the bow of the main tuning slide. There are some very tiny dings in the bell that are very difficult to see or feel as they are so small but they are there. Please, see the pictures. The engraving on the bell is still crisp and reads “Stradivarius Model 37 Vincent Bach Elkhart, Ind. U.S.A.” The horn comes in the original Bach case, which is still in good condition. No mouthpiece is included. This trumpet has a big round sound that is iconic of Bach trumpets. The valves have great action and the trumpet is very responsive in all of its registers. It plays with a nice broad lower end and a wonderful sparkle in the upper register.
